Is there an overnight train from Munich, Germany to Vienna, Austria? How much is it?
I’ll be traveling around the end of february, on a week day. I’m looking for a sleeper car with accomodations for two persons only, does this exist, and how much would it be. Also, any information on travel between vienne and saltzberg and saltzberg and munich would be appreciated. I’d like to travel the cheapest way possible.
There are definately trains between these cities. Munich to Vienna is about 6 hours. I’m assuming you want an over night train since you’re asking about sleepers. There’s one that leaves Munich at 23:45 and arrives at 6:02. It does have sleepers, though I can’t tell you if they have 2 bed rooms or not & neither of my sites give prices. This train runs daily.
There are numerous trains daily from Vienna to Salzburg, and are about 2 1/2 – 3 1/2 hours long.
Salzburg to Munich is often as well, but is usually less than 2 hours.

Your hands are usually the first place on your body to show signs of age, and they can make you look—gulp—five to 10 years older than you really are … But it’s not too late to turn back the, er, hands of time.
These are your hands’ glory days: For the most part, they’re soft, plump, and evenly toned. Your primary concern isn’t so much combating the signs of aging, but preventing them.
Cumulative sun exposure is the biggest cause of premature skin aging—and now’s the time to start protecting yourself. Apply a moisturizer with an SPF of 15 at least twice a day. (Try St. Ives Coenzyme Q10 Hand Renewal Lotion with SPF 15.)
If you plan to be in strong sunlight for long periods of time, use a sunscreen that has a UVA-blocking agent in it—either transparent zinc oxide or Parsol 1789—since UVA rays cause brown spots and wrinkles. (Try Cellex-C SPF 30 Sports Cream.)
Once a week, lightly slough off the dead skin flakes on your hands with a gentle facial scrub. Removing this flaky, occlusive layer will help your daily moisturizer penetrate your skin more deeply. (Try Aqua Dessa Honey Buff Facial Scrub.)
Fade minor brown spots or areas of discoloration by applying an over-the-counter lightening cream nightly. Beware: Spots will reappear if you’re not stringent about sunscreen use. (Try Philosophy A Pigment of Your Imagination.)

I read a book years ago and don’t remember what it was called or who it was by but here is what I remember.
The main character was a girl who was in her early teens. Her father had been in Vietnam and had flashbacks at a few points in the story. She had an older sister who snuck in and out at night to fool around with a teacher of hers, eventually the sister runs away with him and moves to california? The family lives in Long Island, and the girls go to a beauty school for a little while. The main character doesn’t like beauty school, but she finds a pottery shop and learns how to do pottery with the guy who owns the shop and she falls in love with him, but they don’t wind up together… She also likes another boy who she grew up with.
That’s all I remember. I loved the book and read it once when I was a kid. Does anyone know what it could be???
If you check Amazon.com Books under “Women’s Fiction” and type in ” 2 Daughters” to the left of “Go” you’ll get 245 selections of books with maybe 1 being the title and author you seek. I didn’t have the time needed to look through them all for you, but I hope I’ve given you a place to start…Good luck!
